HayataDestek Foundation

HayataDestek Foundation is a humanitarian relief foundation. Its aim is to provide access to the basic rights and needs of people who are affected by natural or artifactual disasters. Its foundations are laid in 2005. It conducts its studies in immediate aid, refugee support, child protection in seasonal agriculture, and capacity development in civil society fields. Within this framework, while it supports people’s life, also it shapes its studies through principles of humanity, without discrimination, objectivity, independence, and accountability.

Works Towards Refugees

HayataDestek aims at providing Syrian refugees to access their own basic rights and needs. On the one hand, it aims to provide individuals to strengthen themselves and their social adaptation in the community centers in which society based protection studies are conducted towards refugees. On the other hand, it provides face-to-face support and informing refugees for their individual protection activities. Within the supporting livelihood projects which are implemented for the purpose of produce long, effective, and permanent solutions for refugees’ needs, there are activities that are conducted like vocational courses, contributions to the employment, and supporting them during the process of getting a work permit.

Society based protection studies are conducted in community centers called HayataDestek House and individual protection studies are conducted via centers called HayataDestek Points in Turkey’s 8 cities (İstanbul, Hatay, Adana, Mersin, Diyarbakır, Mardin, Batman, Şanlıurfa).
